I design and develop websites for small and medium organizations. I will work with you to help you clarify your vision, sort through your wish-list and help you come up with a workable and affordable solution that can be managed in the long-run.

Traditional Web Sites
In a world of blogs and facebook, sometimes a full Content Management System is simply overkill. If you need a simple, static or minimally changing website, a well-designed x/html website will serve your needs perfectly. Your business is not web development, and there is no need (much less time) to learn a new skill-set. Using a combination of javascript includes and stylesheets, I will create a website which is cross-browser compliant, simple to manage, and does what you want it to do.
Drupal Development
Content Management Systems are growing in popularity as more and more individuals and organizations see the need for dynamic websites. Alas, implementing a system which is specific to your vision and goals is more complicatd than it looks (or is advertised). I specialize in drupal, a robust system which can run anything from a simple blog (see my blog for an example), to complex multi-user, highly flexible websites (see the list at http://drupal.org/cases).
Setting up a drupal site requires careful analysis of site requirements and thoughtful project management. Site architecture and design should account for “must-haves” as well as a the “not-so-necessary-but-sure-would-be-great-if” wish-list. Developing a usable and affordable environment includes prioritizing features, identifying modules, and developing architecture and site design. Once this groundwork is laid, code is installed and configured, content loaded, and training begins.
Drupal Theming
Do you have a great design but no one to turn it into a drupal theme? I can take design comps and work with you to move from graphic files to a workable, user-friendly, cross-browser compatible theme. Since drupal themes do much more than simply present, we can work together to make sure that design and function are seamless. We can start from scratch, or piggy-back on open-source themes with well-developed features such as Zen, Fusion, or Acquia themes.
Training and Documentation
One of the often-missed aspects of building websites is the need for ongoing management. Together we can layout a reasonable plan for making sure your site stays up-to-date. I can train you to update your current or new website, and write documentation which allows you to save money by maintaining your own website.
Drupal Maintenance
If you just aren't interested in maintaining your own site, I can upgrade, install and modify modules without jeopardizing site structure or content.
