The Amazon Dragons are a race-winning drabon boat club in Portland, OR. Growing tired of listservs, they wanted a site which allowed easy management of race teams, sent emails, and provided both public and private content. Drupal easily provides the member-only content, as well as public and private posts and events. The Organic Groups module allows race groups to be created where the race page is public, while conversations are restricted to group members. The site is designed to be managed by users who are not tech-savvy.

United Way of the Columbia-Willamette The United Way of the Columbia-Willamette needed to implement a new design using existing content while allowing for dynamic social networking elements and new marketing strategies, and they weren't quite ready to jump into a full-fledged CMS.
